55 St James’ Doors. Public Art Commission

A public art competition to design two sets of very large doors for the front and side entrances to the building.
The main entrance doors are over 4.5 metres tall and have a handle detail inspired by the lapels of a man’s morning suit –the area has a history of bespoke tailors. They are made of oak with bronze kick plates.
